Nigel is a ‘Who’s Who’ of the music industry alongside our musical supervisor Phil Edwards.  Nigel’s career in theatre and film include serving as the musical producer for Lord Lloyd-Webber since the early 1990’s.
 

Nigel’s main contribution and support for MEN? The Musical will be to provide his huge wealth of experience and expertise to produce songs from the musical and support the marketing of the brand amongst its target audience.
 

He has produced cast recordings of all Lord Lloyd-Webber’s musicals since 1990 including the film versions of Evita and Phantom of the Opera. Nigel was also musical director on Lord Lloyd-Webber’s TV casting shows.
 

Nigel first rose to prominence as producer of the the jazz-funk group Shakatak. He also achieved commercial success with medleys pop group Mirage and House music band Jack Mix. As a record producer, orchestrator and songwriter Nigel has scored 12 number one hits in the US and UK, 31 top singles and a string of platinum albums with artists as diverse as Madonna, Barbra Streisand, Sarah Brightman, Cliff Richard, Jose Carreras, Take That and Boyzone.

In recent years Nigel has turned his vast experience to the TV stage and was musical director and arranger on the hit BBC show ‘How do you solve a problem like Maria?’ He is also musical director of the live heats of ITV’s X Factor. Nigel has also spread his wings across the pond working on several American hit shows, including ‘America’s Got Talent and American Idol

 

Nigel’s work has also included Britain’s Got Talent. He was also co-producer on Love Never Dies, the sequel to The Phantom of the Opera.

It is a testimony and recognition of Nigel’s talent that he is also part of an elite creative team from Broadway and Hollywood. The team has been tasked to produce a revolutionary new concept and bring this to life at the Liberty theatre in Broadway in 2023 . The unique project ‘On Broadway - A 4d experience’ elevates musical theatre into into an emotional experience and sensory thrill adding a new dimension in entertainment.

Away from all his massive work schedule, Nigel enjoys spending time with his family although
never far from his recording studio next to his amazing home in Buckinghamshire which he has
personally supervised the development in recent years.
